Currently I am… October Edition

Hey guys, sorry I haven’t written in a while, these past few weeks have been hectic as I’ve been getting back into the swing of things at university and generally sorting my life out! Despite the busy-ness, I am so happy because this is my favourite time of year. I love everything from the falling leaves, to the smell of the air, to pumpkin spice lattes (ultimate white chick, I know), to the festiveness of Halloween in general.

Soon I’ll be writing some articles on recipes I’ve been loving lately and other Halloween-related things, but until then here is what I have been loving/thinking/feeling/doing this October:

Dark Magic Charcoal Cinnamon Rolls

I’ve been enjoying baking more lately, trying to follow actual recipes instead of the usual Betty Crocker ready-mix, so last week I ventured into the realm of dark magic and made charcoal cinnamon rolls, from a recipe by Foxmeetsbear (if you don’t follow her on Instagram, I highly recommend it).

I used a different recipe for the dough, which you can find here. I know you must be raising your eyebrows, charcoal cinnamon rolls? but I promise you they are absolutely delicious and so much fun to make (though a bit of a mess).

Easy, Breasy, Acai Bowl

I’m sure a lot of you have heard of Acai bowls before (or most likely seen them pop up on travel bloggers’ aesthetic Instagram feeds), and wondered, ‘what is an acai bowl and why are they so damn popular?‘ Well, for those of you who are newcomers to the craze, an acai bowl is basically like a thick smoothie you eat with a spoon, made with acai puree (a tropical palm fruit) and then topped with fresh fruit, cereal, you name it.
