November is always one of my favourite times of the year. It does have its drawbacks, the early sunsets, the rainy days, the essay deadlines, but on the upside, the weather is getting colder and crisper, and the excitement of Christmas and holiday festivities is growing, with markets and balls on the horizon.
I’m already gearing up to decorate the house, pictures of which I will be sharing here very soon, but until then here is what’s going on in my head this November:
Listening: ‘Love you like that’ by Dagny, and Taylor’s new album (still not decided on how I feel about it, thoughts?)
Reading: Oryx & Crake by Margaret Atwood (I’m actually reading this for my course but had been planning to for ages. I’m really enjoying it so far, it’s the first book by Atwood I’ve read, but am planning on picking up ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ soon)
Watching: The latest season of ‘The Walking Dead’ and soon I’ll be breaking out the Christmas movies (Home Alone is my favourite)
Wearing: lots of scarves and layers because it didn’t go above 8 degrees today!
Making: cinnamon rolls and lots of tea to deal with this perpetual seasonal head cold!
Feeling: very lethargic lately (seasonal shifts and jet-lag take their toll) but so excited for Christmassy activities over the next few weeks!
I’d love to know what you guys enjoy about this time of year? Do you get hyped for Christmas or try to avoid the bustle of it? Let me know in the comments xx
